Support Josh's Battle with Brain Cancer

Hi there,

I'm reaching out on behalf of dear friends, Kristy and Josh Bottini, who are facing an incredibly difficult chapter. At just 34 and only six months into marriage, Josh was diagnosed with Oligodendroglioma (Grade 2 brain cancer) in December 2024. Since then, he’s undergone surgery (removing 99% of the tumor), and is now in the middle of radiation with a seven-month chemotherapy plan to follow.

Unfortunately, treatment also means compromised fertility. As they begin to explore IVF and fertility storage—none of which is covered by insurance—they’re also managing the emotional and financial toll of cancer care.

For those who don’t know them: Josh and Kristy have spent their careers in hospitality, always putting others first. Despite everything, they’ve kept working—often out of necessity, not choice. Kristy has shouldered an extraordinary load with grace and strength, managing Josh’s care, their home, and so much more.

They will continue to live with managing this brain tumor for the rest of their lives, as in many cases, Grade 2 Oligodendrogliomas recur down the road.

Asking for help hasn’t been easy for them, but the need is real. Any contribution—financial or simply words of encouragement—means the world.
