Support Josh's Battle Against Leukemia

Hello Family, Friends, and Kind Souls across the Internet,

In early May of this year, my brilliant, hilarious, and all-around wonderful brother, Josh Rhinehart was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).

While our family struggled to wrap our heads around this surreal information, Josh moved swiftly into fight mode with an optimistic determination that would seem impossible... unless you know him. His friends won't be surprised to hear that he confronted this disease with a sense of humor and downright stubbornly positive attitude from the start. Even now, while he undergoes several weeks of inpatient chemotherapy, stares down a looming stem cell transplant and months of difficult recovery, he exudes warmth and gratitude for everyone around him.

Josh (and our whole family) also gain strength from his wonderful fiancé, Aurora. Her keen nurse's instincts helped catch this early and she has thrown herself into caretaker mode without a second thought. They face a difficult year ahead, full of paperwork and red tape that would drive anyone crazy, even in less serious circumstances, but they are two of the most resilient people I've ever met and they are showing tremendous grace under pressure.

Leukemia treatment has come so far in recent years, but these life-saving medications and procedures remain criminally expensive and insurance companies still somehow find ways to deny coverage for them. It is with grateful and humble hearts that we ask you for donations of any amount you are able to give. Your gifts will help pay for Josh's chemotherapy, hospital bills, and keep he and Aurora afloat during this most disruptive time in their lives.

Our family is truly lucky to be surrounded by the most incredible people; beacons of strength and love and good vibes who are keeping us all afloat right now, and we cannot thank you enough for who you are and all you do. Josh is fighting a real battle, but with your help, he will get to the other side of this illness and back to living life with that trademark enthusiasm we all know and love.
