Support Josh Watson's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
I still can’t believe I’m writing this. On August 19, our employee at Subway and friend, Josh Watson, was riding his electric bike when he hit a curb, was thrown from the bike, and was instantly paralyzed from the neck down. He was taken to the ICU and had emergency surgery on his neck. After surgery, he was put into an induced coma, and after he woke up, he had to rediscover that he was still paralyzed. The good news is that the doctors believe he will recover, but he has a long road ahead of him. He likely won’t return to work for at least a year.
We are starting a GoFundMe to support Josh and his girlfriend during this difficult time. There are expenses, and he’ll be unable to work for an unknown amount of time. Josh’s family and girlfriend had to return to work within days of the accident to make sure they continue to meet their financial obligations. I cannot imagine how hard it is to work when all you want to do is care for your loved one.
Josh continues to be brave in the face of this tragedy. The recovery is painful physically and emotionally, and any support raised will go directly to supporting him.
