Support Josh Ryan and Elena Malone

Josh Ryan and Elena Malone are two of the most giving and selfless people I have ever encountered. They have never asked for anything in the 20-plus years I have known them and deserve nothing but love and support as they embark on this challenging time. This July while shaving one morning, Josh noticed a lump and scheduled an appointment with his regular doctor. As it turns out, Josh has stage 3 oropharyngeal cancer and will begin months of chemotherapy immediately, followed by radiation.

Josh and Elena are both school teachers who have dedicated their lives to supporting young people and giving back to their communities. They have two small children, Amos - 7 and Ruby - 9. Josh will be taking a temporary leave of absence from his teaching position at Buckley, where he has taught math for 20 years.

This fundraiser will support the onslaught of medical bills, transportation, hiring help for their children, and anything else that might make these months just a little bit easier. I hope that together we can alleviate some of the financial stress so that this incredible family can focus on healing and getting through this exceedingly challenging time.
