Josh Resto has been my friend, coworker, and trusted car detailer for the past decade. Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how dedicated he is to his craft and how much he cares about his clients and community. In February 2023, Josh underwent major back surgery that changed his life. The recovery has been long and difficult, leaving him with permanent damage and limited mobility. He’s no longer able to work at the pace he once did, and every day is a challenge as he tries to balance his health with his passion for detailing cars.

Despite these setbacks, Josh’s determination hasn’t wavered. He tried reopening his business, but the physical demands and slow recovery made it nearly impossible to keep up. The financial strain of medical bills, lost income, and personal family issues forced him to leave his shop in Wappingers and start over from scratch. Now, almost three years later, Josh is still dealing with doctors, lawyers, and insurance companies, all while trying to find a new path forward. His heart remains in detailing, and he continues to provide quality work, even if it takes a little longer.
