Support Josh Michell's Recovery Journey

Hello, my name is Amy and I'm raising funds for my friend Josh Michell (pictured here with his cousin.) Many of you have probably seen him and his two dogs, Chase and Boo, around Del Ray and Old Town Alexandria. Josh has become a community fixture.

A few nights ago, Josh slipped and fell in his home and painfully broke his arm. He's still waiting to learn if he'll need surgery. Because of this, Josh is unable to work for an undetermined about of time and therefore won't be bringing in a paycheck to cover his living and medical expenses.

Not without his share of previous medical challenges, Josh had Scoliosis at a young age, as well as missing pieces of his spine from birth. At age 18, because of the curvature of his spine pinching nerves and causing paralysis in one leg, 2 titanium rods were surgically placed in his back. Due to this history, Josh has life-long balance and mobility issues which contributed to his most recent fall.

Josh is truly an awesome guy and has an incredible disposition despite all of this. It's amazing how one step in the wrong direction, literally, can change your life in a matter of minutes. If everyone was able to give even $20 it would make such a huge difference in his recovery and outlook. All raised funds will go towards medical and living expenses while he heals.
