Support for Josh Hyde — A True Servant of Our Community
Josh Hyde has dedicated the last 20 years of his life to serving the people of McMinn and Roane Counties through the Sheriff’s Departments. Many know him as a calm, steady presence — a protector, a mentor, and a friend. Currently serving as a School Resource Officer in Roane County, Josh has always put others before himself. Now, he needs our help.
On October 10, 2025, what was expected to be a routine gallbladder surgery turned into a life-threatening emergency. Josh had a severe reaction to anesthesia, flatlining twice before being airlifted to Memorial Hospital. He spent several days in the ICU and has since endured surgery to remove blood clots and had a chest tube placed. His original gallbladder surgery had to be postponed and is now expected to happen early next week — followed by the need for heart surgery.
Despite all this, Josh remains strong in faith and spirit, but the road to recovery is long, uncertain, and financially overwhelming.
His wife, Samantha, continues to work as much as she can to keep their household afloat, but the weight of mounting medical bills and lost income is heavy. We’re asking for your support to help ease the financial burden on this incredible family.
Josh has spent his life giving to others — sacrificing weekends, holidays, and his own health to serve, protect, and love this community. If you’ve ever met him, you know that he would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. Now it’s our turn to give back to him.
If you are able to donate, any amount is a blessing. And if you’re not in a position to give financially, we ask that you please keep Josh and his family in your prayers.
Above all, Josh loves the Lord Jesus Christ and believes in the power of prayer. So please, pray for healing, strength, and peace for Josh, Samantha, and their entire family.
Thank you and God bless you.
