Hey, my name is Josh Crutcher, and on May 24th, I’m taking a bold risk by selling all the clothes I own to fund a life-changing trip to Vietnam.

I’m 19 years old, a filmmaker, and a creative with big dreams. I moved to Chicago to find more opportunities, to be closer to art, culture, and community. But with that move came real responsibilities — paying rent, covering groceries, and managing bills on my own. Recently, my car was broken into, which set me back even more financially.

But I haven’t lost sight of what I came here for.

Why Vietnam?

I didn’t grow up traveling much. My family worked hard, but we didn’t have the means to see the world. I’ve always dreamed of exploring new cultures, meeting artists from different upbringings, and letting those experiences shape who I am as a person and as an artist. My best friend also lives in Hanoi, making this the perfect environment for me to connect and grow.

Vietnam represents a new chapter for me. It’s a place rich with creativity, tradition, and connection. By traveling there, I want to:
