I’ve done everything I can to hold it all together as best I can for a good while. Now I need your help.

In the span of 48 hours in June, 2024, I lost my job, my car, and my ability to earn income.

That weekend changed everything. I was fired from my part-time job at a local bakery, had my car towed (the one I rely on for gigs and deliveries), and was suddenly dropped from the food delivery app I’d been working with—without explanation. It was devastating.

This came only months after:

My first car was totaled just two weeks after I bought it

My grandmother passed away

I took on new medical expenses

And I worked hard to start rebuilding my life: new apartment, new vehicle (with help), steady gigs, and part-time jobs

For a few months, things were looking up. Once again, almost a year to the date, income has dwindled again, alongside new expenses that have been necessary alongside a hit a run that banged the passenger's side of this new car pretty badly. I've come to a point that I have to admit to myself that, for a good year, it’s been a spiral of lost income and unexpected costs—and I’ve reached the point where I can’t recover on my own.

Immediate Goal: $2,800 to stabilize

Full Goal: $7,500 to recover and rebuild

The $2,800 milestone covers urgent, time-sensitive needs:

Car insurance deductible and cosmetic repairs from the recent hit-and-run

Out-of-pocket medical bills from recent treatments

Housing and food for the next 2–3 weeks while my car is in the shop

The full $7,500 goal covers 60 days of basic survival and recovery:

Continued housing, food, and utilities

Ongoing medical care

Temporary loss of gig and delivery income

Breathing room to secure full-time work and reestablish financial stability

Right now, my income only covers about one-third of my monthly needs. I'm doing everything I can through side gigs and music work, but I can't bridge the gap alone.
