Hi, my name is Mixtli Hernandez, and I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of my 16-year-old nephew, Josgar Hernandez, who was recently in a devastating car accident that has completely changed his life.

Josgar suffered a broken spine, fractured jaw, broken ribs, and is now facing a long, painful road to recovery. He will require multiple surgeries, extended hospitalization, and intensive physical therapy just to begin regaining basic functions.

He is an incredibly strong young man, but the emotional and physical toll, combined with the overwhelming medical expenses, is something no teenager—or family—should ever have to face alone.
