Josette Sandoval was a selfless, gracious woman and a resilient mother of eight. In short, she was the glue to our family. In her last years, she dedicated her time and energy to raising four of her grandchildren and giving them the best quality of life possible. In addition to being an incredible mom and grandma, Josette had the most generous soul and spent many years as a chef at The Gathering Place, a homeless shelter in Denver, CO. A pillar of her being was to always care for the less fortunate. She would give back in any way she could—a warm meal, wise advice, even her smile could brighten up the dimmest of days. Josette was diagnosed with stage 4 bile duct cancer in July, 2025; after ruthless months of fighting, she tragically passed on February 27th, 2026. She left behind her two youngest boys and a handful of grandchildren that are having to navigate a brand new way of living without her. Moreover, her transition has been incredibly heavy for our whole family—mentally, emotionally, physically and financially draining. As we move forward, the most important thing is honoring her life and legacy. We ask that you please help us reach our goal so we can provide her the services she deserves. In closing and in true Josette fashion, a little goes a long way, and we’d greatly appreciate any contribution and even the sharing and engagement of this message. Thank you.

Sincerely, the Sandoval family.
