Support Josette’s dream of accessible housing

My name is Josette Ulibarri. I was born in Las Vegas New Mexico at home with a famous midwife named Jesusita. My parents were surprised upon my arrival that I had no limbs. I’ve used a wheelchair majority of my life. My small city of Las Vegas New Mexico is a beautiful historical place. Unfortunately there is very little accessibility. I was displaced during the Hermits Peak Wildfire. After the wildfire, I’ve faced the biggest struggle of my life finding a place to live that I can access the bathroom. Due to being such a historical city, there simply is no options for me. I’m currently living in a non accessible home which makes my life very difficult. In my older age I need to be with family & friends, not segregated to a city with accessibility. For this reason, my goal is to build a fully handicap accessible adobe home. My home will then be a model home for our elderly & disabled community. Thank you for any help you can provide. God bless you.
