My name is Maria, and I’m raising funds for my brother, Jose. He is a devoted son, a loving brother, and an incredible uncle. Anyone who knows Jose knows how caring, funny, and hardworking he is. He’s always been the kind of person who shows up for others.

Recently, our family received devastating news. Jose, who lives on his own, became seriously ill. While in the hospital, doctors discovered he has a macro-adenoma, a tumor that is pressing against his optic nerves and causing chronic headaches. His surgery is scheduled for December 10. This has been an overwhelming and emotional time for all of us, and we are doing everything we can to support him through this urgent and serious procedure.

One of the reasons I’m creating this fundraiser is because Jose never asks for anything. He would rather carry the stress on his own than ask for help. He’s the type of person who gives support but struggles to receive it. In a time like this, I truly hope he can see how many people are willing to stand by him and lift him up.

Because of the surgery, the recovery period, and the time he’ll be unable to work, Jose is now facing significant financial strain. We are hoping to raise $15,000 to help cover medical expenses, follow-up care, monthly bills, and his health insurance while he focuses on healing.
