Help Jose Fight NMO and Support Our Family
From one day to the next, our lives changed forever. My husband, Jose, was suddenly diagnosed with an aggressive form of Neuromyelitis Optica (NMO), a rare and devastating autoimmune disease that attacks the spinal cord and optic nerves. He had no previous symptoms, and overnight our strong, hardworking husband and father has been left fighting for his health and his future. Within 1 week he has lost his vision, coordination, strength and sense of touch, explaining that his hands and entire body feel “tingling”. He was getting better and took a turn for the worse due to coming down with a virus which left him in complete paralysis and placed in ICU on the verge of being put on a breathing tube.
Jose has always been the rock of our family. He is a devoted husband and father who worked seven days a week to provide for us and give us the best life possible. Just three months ago, we poured all of our savings into relocating for a better future for our family. We never could have imagined that soon after, we would be facing this heartbreaking diagnosis in a new city with no family or close friends nearby.
This diagnosis has not only taken a toll on Jose’s health but also on our family’s stability. As our primary provider, Jose has always carried the weight for us, and now he cannot. We are humbly asking for help during this difficult time. The funds raised will go toward his medical bills, ongoing therapies, housing, daily living costs, and possibly the cost of relocating to be closer to family as we face this new reality together.
Our faith as a Christian family is what gives us strength right now. We are trusting God for healing, for provision, and for the right people to come alongside us during this storm. We believe that even in the hardest moments, God is faithful, and He will carry us through.
If you are able, please consider donating. No amount is too small, and every prayer and share of this campaign means the world to us. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with our family and helping Jose fight this battle.
