Dear Friends and supporters,

My name is Devon Melby and I am helping a dear friend and family raise funds for his battle with pancreatic cancer. Jose Conroy has been dealing with abdominal pain for a few months with no definite answers from doctors on what the cause was. He went to the ER with severe abdominal pain on December 22, 2023 and was admitted for further testing. Christmas morning Jose was hit with some heavy news that they found a mass in his pancreas and needed to do more tests to find out if it was

cancer. A few days later the news was delivered that it was in fact cancer.

As you many of you know Jose has been offered a new job and was only there a few weeks before he received this news and now he is unable to work due to the progression of his illness. Jose had his first surgery on Tuesday, January 16 th and it was unsuccessful and will have to undergo another surgery in 4

to 6 weeks as his pancreas was severely inflamed when they went in. In the meantime he will remain in the hospital and home without work. While accepting this news has been difficult for everyone, we remain optimistic and pray that Jose will beat this cancer. It is in God’s hands and we have full confidence that his healthcare team will treat him with utmost care and compassion.

As you may know, medical bills can be extremely expensive for simple procedures alone and even more when a specialty is involved such as an oncology team. The burden of these medical bills plus all other bills at their home it has become overwhelming. It is why I am writing to you all to help them get

through this current journey they are on. Jose and Flor are in need of financial assistance to help with the financial burden with will be on all the continued treatments and upcoming surgery. With much encouragement, Jose and Flor have humbly agreed to share their current situation and accept the prayers and support that many wish to offer them in this time of need.
