My name is José Fletes. I am 30 years old, and I am sharing this because my medical condition has progressed in a way that requires urgent and advanced decisions.
For the past five years, I have been fighting an aggressive grade IV medulloblastoma. I have undergone three major surgeries (brain, lumbosacral spine, and dorsal spine), along with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and continuous follow-up.
Recent MRI studies have confirmed new active tumor lesions in my brain (both temporal lobes and cerebellum), as well as tumor spread throughout my cervical, dorsal, and lumbar spine, with bone involvement. This means the disease is currently active and affecting multiple areas of my central nervous system.
At this stage, standard treatment protocols have been proposed, including whole-brain radiotherapy and oral chemotherapy. However, given the complexity and recurrence of my case, I need more than just routine care.
I need access to specialized evaluations, second medical opinions, advanced oncological options, and potentially alternative or more targeted treatments that may not be available within my current healthcare system.
This requires:
• Consultations with specialized neuro-oncology centers
• Additional imaging and molecular testing
• Access to advanced or targeted therapies
• Possible treatment outside my local system
• Ongoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy
• Long-term neurological rehabilitation
The purpose of this campaign is not only to cover immediate treatment costs, but to give me the opportunity to actively seek better medical alternatives, explore specialized care, and fight this disease with every possible option available.
I have faced this cancer multiple times before. Each time I have chosen to fight. Today, I am choosing to fight again — but I need the financial ability to pursue the best possible care.
This is about survival, mobility, and time.

Mi nombre es José Fletes, tengo 30 años y hoy comparto esto porque mi situación médica ha avanzado a un punto que exige decisiones urgentes y especializadas.
Desde hace 5 años lucho contra un meduloblastoma grado IV agresivo. He pasado por tres cirugías mayores (cerebro, columna lumbosacra y dorsal), además de quimioterapia, radioterapia y seguimiento constante.
Los estudios más recientes confirmaron nuevas lesiones tumorales activas en el cerebro (lóbulos temporales y cerebelo), así como diseminación a lo largo de la columna cervical, dorsal y lumbar, con compromiso óseo. La enfermedad está activa y compromete múltiples áreas del sistema nervioso central.
Se han planteado protocolos estándar como radioterapia a holocráneo y quimioterapia oral. Sin embargo, por la complejidad y recurrencia de mi caso, necesito ir más allá del manejo convencional.
Requiero acceso a valoraciones especializadas en neuro-oncología, segundas opiniones médicas, estudios más avanzados y la posibilidad de acceder a tratamientos dirigidos o alternativas terapéuticas que podrían no estar disponibles dentro del sistema actual.
Esto implica:
• Consultas con centros especializados
• Estudios complementarios y pruebas avanzadas
• Evaluación de terapias dirigidas o innovadoras
• Posibilidad de tratamiento fuera del sistema local
• Continuidad de quimioterapia y radioterapia
• Rehabilitación neurológica prolongada
El objetivo de esta campaña no es únicamente cubrir gastos inmediatos, sino darme la oportunidad real de buscar alternativas médicas especializadas y acceder a opciones que puedan marcar una diferencia en mi pronóstico.
He enfrentado este cáncer varias veces y siempre he decidido luchar. Hoy vuelvo a hacerlo, pero necesito los recursos para poder buscar la mejor atención posible.
Esto es sobre supervivencia, movilidad y tiempo.
