Hi, my name is Hazel, and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest times of our lives. My husband, Jose — the father of our children and my best friend — has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Everything has happened so fast, and our world has completely changed overnight. Right now, our focus is on keeping him stable, starting chemotherapy, and doing everything possible to fight this. While he does have medical coverage, there are many treatments, therapies, and supportive care options that are not covered by insurance. We are trying to give him every possible chance — including additional therapies, nutritional support, and anything that may help strengthen his body during this fight.
At the same time, I am balancing being his caregiver while caring for our two young daughters. This has made it extremely difficult to keep up with everyday expenses like rent, food, transportation, and basic needs. We are asking for help so we can: cover out-of-pocket medical and treatment costs, access additional therapies not covered by insurance, maintain a stable home for our daughters, and focus on Jose’s care without the constant stress of finances.
Jose is only 29 years old. He is a loving husband, a devoted father, and someone who deserves a real fighting chance. We are doing everything we can, but we cannot do this alone. If you are able to donate, share, or keep us in your prayers, it truly means more than words can express. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can give during this incredibly difficult time. — Hazel & Family
