My name is José Pelayo, and I am currently fighting a tough battle against myelodysplastic syndrome (a form of leukemia), a disease I was diagnosed with in July 2021. For quite some time, I managed to remain stable thanks to rigorous treatments, but in recent months, my condition has suddenly worsened. I have lost 10 kilos (22 pounds), and each day presents new challenges for both my body and my spirit.

Constant nausea, frequent vomiting, and persistent indigestion have severely affected my quality of life, making even the simple act of eating difficult. Additionally, this illness has caused elevated uric acid levels, leading to intense joint pain and overall discomfort.

My organs have also been seriously affected: my liver, pancreas, and spleen have become enlarged, impairing their function and causing my platelet levels to rise dangerously, putting me at serious risk. On top of that, my immune system is extremely weak, making me vulnerable to infections and other complications.

Despite my strength and determination to keep fighting, the cost of medical treatments, hospital stays, and specialized care has become a significant financial burden for my family. Luchando Contra la Leucemia: Tu Ayuda Puede Hacer la Diferencia

Queridos amigos, familiares y personas de buen corazón,

Mi nombre es José Pelayo, y hoy me encuentro en una batalla difícil contra el síndrome mielodisplásico (una forma de leucemia), enfermedad que me fue diagnosticada en julio de 2021. Durante bastante tiempo, logré mantenerme estable gracias a rigurosos tratamientos, pero en los últimos meses, mi condición ha empeorado repentinamente. He perdido 10 kilos, y cada día es un nuevo desafío para mi cuerpo y mi espíritu.

Las náuseas, vómitos constantes e indigestión persistente han afectado mi calidad de vida, haciendo que hasta lo más simple, como comer, se vuelva difícil. Además, esta enfermedad ha elevado mis niveles de ácido úrico, lo que causa fuertes dolores en las articulaciones y un gran malestar general.

Mis órganos también han sido gravemente afectados: mi hígado, páncreas y bazo se han agrandado, alterando su funcionamiento y provocando que mis plaquetas aumenten peligrosamente, lo que representa un riesgo serio para mi salud. Además, mi sistema inmunológico está extremadamente debilitado, dejándome vulnerable a infecciones y otras complicaciones.

A pesar de mi fortaleza y deseo de seguir adelante, los costos médicos, hospitalizaciones y cuidados especializados han generado una gran carga económica para mi familia.
