Hi y'all, my name is Joseph. I am the chef of Sana Sana Taqueria pop-up here in Austin, TX. I was recently in a nasty car accident where I was T-boned by someone that wasn’t paying attention.
Because of the accident, my wife’s car was totaled, I have fractured my wrist, and have some nerve damage and may need surgery soon. Being a chef, you need both hands to work, and with the pop-ups and events I normally do, it has made it extremely difficult. Normally, I have to carry and transport heavy equipment, and a lot of labor goes into hand-making everything from scratch to make our tortillas and tacos, which I cannot do at the moment.
That being said, I have had to cancel all of my catering gigs, events, and all of my pop-ups that I regularly do on the weekends due to my injuries, which has put a complete stop to my only income.
I have already lost a lot of work and have some large hospital bills because of this and won’t be able to do physical labor until I completely recover, possibly until 2026.
As hard as it is asking for help, I know I do need it to help provide. If it’s something y'all are willing to do, I would greatly appreciate it anything would help out tremendously right now.
It may not be a lot, but in turn, I will be making a small E-Cook Book that will be up for download for FREE.99 as soon as it’s done. The book will contain a few of my favorite taco recipes, some salsas, and tasty desserts I’ve done in the past and that I grew up eating inspired by the RGV. I would love to share this with y'all.
Again, thank you all so much and I can’t wait to get back to cooking for everyone again once I’m healed! Nos vemos pronto!
