My name is Karol Evans and my husband has stage 4a Squamous Cell carcinoma. He is scheduled to for surgery on May 19, 2025.

This surgery is necessary to save his life. It’s an eight hour surgery that will have multiple surgeons and other doctors attending. They have to remove half his tongue and remove cancer from his right lymph nodes. He will be in icu for many weeks. They will be rebuilding his tongue with skin from his inner arm. This may or may not work. But the reason I am starting this go fund me is because Joseph has been out of work for six months and the copays for the surgery are rolling in. We can’t afford to pay them. The plastic surgeon told us that he needs his copay three days before surgery or the can’t proceed and would have to reschedule. He needs to get the surgery now so it does not spread into his body. His other surgeon said it’s fast growing. Joseph has always helped others when needed and is a amazing father, grandfather and great grandfather.
