This weekend, my family suffered an unexpected and heartbreaking loss. My cousin Joseph passed away suddenly, and we are all still in shock as we try to process the pain of losing someone so close to us. To me, he was “JoJo” — the cousin I grew up with, laughed with, and always looked up to. His absence already feels enormous in our family that is already so small and tight-knit, especially right before the holiday season.

As we navigate this devastating time, we are also faced with the unexpected financial burden of funeral and memorial expenses. Unfortunately, the costs are more than our family can manage on our own. We want to give Joseph the dignified, loving farewell he deserves, and we’re humbly asking for support from friends, family, and anyone who feels moved to help.
