Support Joseph Kuyembeh’s Critical Tumor Surgery

Donation protected
Hello everyone, My name is Nathaniel Kuyembeh, the father of Joseph Kuyembeh. Six months ago, my 16 years old son was diagnosed with Pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma (PXA), a rare primary CNS tumor. Presenting symptoms can be broadly classified as localizable or nonlocalizable. The localizable symptoms correlate directly with the neuroanatomy involved with the tumor. These include seizures, the most frequent initial presenting symptom which my son has been experiencing for the past 1 year. These tumors have the potential to spread via the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). We are praying that is not the case for my beloved son. Based on my research and the recommendations of Joseph's medical team in Sierra Leone, PXA has a clear prognostic and therapeutic implications. The therapeutic management includes surgical resection, radiotherapy and systemic therapies. Currently, it has been determined that Joseph requires urgent surgery which will take place in India. As you all know, this journey will entail of high expenditures. I am pleading for your aide in any way, to give my son a chance for a longer life, healing and recovery. I am grateful and appreciative in advance for all our efforts and prayers.
