“ Donate to support Joseph’s fight against acute kidney failure”
I have created this GoFundMe campaign on behalf of my brother, Joseph Winrod(18years) , who in February 2024 suffered from an upper respiratory infection which spiraled into an auto immune response that has now attacked his kidneys.
His health diagnosis is IGA Vasculitis, an autoimmune disorder, which impacts the kidneys, the skin, joints and gastrointestinal track, he has flare ups of high blood pressure, edema, low hemoglobin, very swollen lymph nodes, and swollen face. This resulted in Joseph having to quit his job as a diesel mechanic in Homer, which he really enjoyed. He also worked on small engines, especially dirt bikes and 4 wheelers! He spent many hours on the beach with his friends. He now is living with his family who are taking full time care of him. Joseph is 18 and pushing hard to finish his last months of high school. He sees Doctors weekly and is on a very strict keto diet.
I am asking for donations to help my family cover the extra medical bills and travel expenses needed for treatments as well as cover basic costs of groceries and utilities. A donation of $35 helps cover one tank of gas for the drives to and from the hospital. Any thing helps!
Thank you so much in advance for your monetary donations, prayers, messages, and calls. We are so grateful for everything. Please share this with your circle of friends and family, that would be greatly appreciated. God bless you all! ♥️
