My name is Josephine Arsenault, and I am a sophomore at the University of Alabama majoring in Civil Engineering with a minor in Music. I am deeply honored and excited to share that I have been accepted to study abroad at the University of Glasgow in Scotland for the Spring 2026 semester. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will allow me to continue my engineering studies at one of the top programs in the United Kingdom while also experiencing new cultures, building community, and sharing my faith abroad.
Over the years, I have learned that engineering is not just about design; it is about building things that serve people. Whether it is designing safe neighborhoods or sustainable infrastructure, I have found purpose in combining creativity with service. Alongside my studies, I have spent over eight years serving my church and community through worship, kids’ ministry, and outreach programs. These experiences have grown my heart for philanthropy, service, and sharing the Gospel with others wherever I go.
As I prepare for this journey, I am working hard to raise funds to help cover my travel, tuition, housing, and living expenses while abroad. My goal is to raise $8,000 before the end of December so that I can leave on January 7th and return home at the end of May. I am contributing as much as I can personally through my own savings and part-time work, but I humbly ask for your support, whether that is through financial giving, prayer, or encouragement as I take this next step in faith.
I truly believe that this experience will not only enrich my education but also allow me to serve others and grow spiritually in a new environment. I hope to get involved in a local church in Glasgow and continue sharing God’s love with the people I meet there.
If you would like to support me financially, any amount, big or small, will make a meaningful difference and bring me closer to this goal. I would also be very grateful for your prayers over my preparation, travel, and time abroad.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting me on this journey. I am so thankful for every person who has poured into my life and encouraged me to pursue the callings God has placed on my heart.
