On July 26th, 2024, my husband, Joseph Washington, had a stroke causing him to wreck in his Semi Truck. He collided with other cars, but thank God everyone was okay. He was rushed to the hospital where he had to have emergency surgery. It was discovered that he had a blood clot that traveled from his heart to his brain and that's what caused him to suffer a stroke. The stroke affected his left side and now he has blood clots in his right leg and as of now, he can't drive which is a problem because driving is how he makes his living. We are not sure when and if he will be able to work after this terrible ordeal. Once his blood clots dissolve, he will then be sent to rehab.

A lot of people have reached out to me about doing a GoFundMe, especially his UNA Teammates (family). Together they won 3 National Championships and in my eyes, they are truly champs. They have been checking on him every day and making sure he is good. They just don't know how much them just checking on him is giving him life. These guys have been there for him since this ordeal and I truly appreciate them. They have also encouraged me and I am thankful for the love they have shown the both of us.
