It takes a village they say… today we are calling upon our Village in support of The Dominguez- Santos Family. We ask that you first and foremost embrace The Santos family in prayer as the journey that lays ahead is a difficult one.

As some may know, towards the end of July of this year, Ivette’s husband Joseph felt ill which landed him a week at the emergency room. It is when the Santos family received the devastating news that Joseph’s sudden decline of health was due to both his kidneys and liver working at a fraction of their full capacity. After a month of chemo treatment and not providing the outcome doctors hoped for, Joseph will be needing life saving organ transplant surgery for both his liver and kidneys.

In respecting the family’s privacy we won’t go into every detail of the medical journey the family has to endure; however Joseph is currently fighting for his life. As the head of his household, you can imagine the financial hardship they have been dealt with. It has been 5 months of treatments to help bring some comfort to his body, specialist visits, procedures to keep him comfortable and medication expenses and the bills are overwhelmingly piling up. Because of Joseph’s critical illness, he no longer is able to work. In addition to being responsible for anything not covered by insurance, there will also be post-transplant therapies, immunosuppressants and other expensive medications that he will have to take for the rest of his life.

This is our plea. If you find it in your hearts to make a donation, we will be eternally grateful. We are hoping that with your support we can meet the necessary financial needs that Ivette and her family will be facing.
