I am reaching out on behalf of my coworker, Joseph Rodríguez, who is facing one of the most challenging periods of his life. Joseph has been diagnosed with necrotizing pancreatitis, which has now progressed into chronic pancreatitis—a severe and debilitating condition that affects his ability to function day to day. This illness brings constant pain, extreme fatigue, digestive complications, and requires frequent medical care. Because of the severity of his condition, Joseph is currently unable to return to work. Tasks that once felt routine are now overwhelming, and his focus has shifted to surviving, managing pain, and trying to stabilize his health.

Joseph’s situation has been made even more difficult by the denial of his long-term disability claim, as his condition was considered pre-existing. This means that despite being medically unable to work, he is receiving no income at this time. Right now, Joseph is facing mounting medical bills, basic living expenses, and the stress of trying to support his family while battling a condition that has completely changed his life.

Funds raised will go toward medical bills and treatments, medications and specialist care, basic living expenses such as rent, utilities, and groceries, and supporting Joseph’s family during this period of medical hardship.
