Support Joseph: Help a Queer Artist in Need

My name is Joseph. I am a young queer theater artist based in queens.

This is not easy to post and if you know me well I'm not someone who asks for help easily.

So a little bit of a story of my decent into madness. Last summer I was offered a gig that was supposed to span late August to mid November. If you work freelance/theater you know how amazing that is to know that you'll have a steady pay check for that length of time. About 2 weeks before we were set to begin "my services were no longer needed".

Coming off the dry season and then losing a gig that I had also turned down other jobs for resulted in essentially no income for almost 2 months. Any little bit of savings I had quickly disappeared.

For the last year I've been struggling to make it by. I'm so grateful for the support I've received from family and friends but I'm just at a point where I don't really know what to do to get out of this hole im currently in.

To make matters worse the owner of my building sold to someone else and they are not agreeing to a previous arrangement the original owner and I made. Due to this I am at risk of losing my apartment.

I'm not looking for a handout. If you have the ability to help and you want to, that would be amazing. But if you know me Id rather work for it. So if you have any odd jobs, theater related or not please send them my way.

I know everyone is going thru it right now but even just sharing would be helpful. And no matter what if you could just share some love that would be amazing.

All funds will be used to pay off any rent debt and possibly help relocate once my lease is over.
