On October 16th, Joseph Berentsen, a dedicated security guard, loving husband, and proud veteran, was the victim of a horrific attack while riding a bus in Southeast Portland. The incident, which has been widely reported in the news, left Joseph with severe injuries that required him to be admitted to the ICU. He is now on bed rest, focusing on healing and regaining his strength, with hopes of returning to work in the future.
Joseph’s injuries have placed a significant financial burden on him and his family. In addition to mounting medical expenses, Joseph is currently unable to work, which has made it difficult to cover basic living costs like rent, utilities, and other essentials. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward helping Joseph and his family stay afloat during this challenging time, covering medical bills, ongoing treatments, and basic expenses while he recovers.
As someone who has served his country and worked tirelessly to protect others, Joseph deserves our support now more than ever. We’re asking for your help to ease the financial strain on him and his family. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign with your network would mean the world to us.
