Jose Pablo Navarro Bejarano is only 30 years old, and just two weeks ago, he received a devastating diagnosis: lung cancer with metastasis in his bone marrow. In such a short time, 75 percent of his lung has become invaded by cancer, and he is now unable to walk, requiring ambulance transport to reach the doctor. The pain he experiences is so intense that he needs expensive medication to manage it. Despite these challenges, his doctors say there is hope because of his young age, but he will need immediate, aggressive radiation and chemotherapy to have a fighting chance.

Jose Pablo is the father of a 5-year-old daughter who needs him. His family has already faced unimaginable hardship—his mother, Maria Del Rosario, passed away from breast cancer in 2016 after an eight-year battle, and just last month, his father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The family has sold all their cattle and properties to pay for medical bills and has exhausted every resource. In Mexico, the healthcare system requires payment upfront for treatment, making it nearly impossible for them to access the urgent care Jose Pablo needs.
