In late October of 2025, just a few weeks before turning 23, Jose Mendoza was diagnosed with testicular cancer. That following week he was told the cancer is rapidly spreading across his abdomen. Weeks prior to diagnosis, Jose had to quit his job due to his condition & symptoms. His best friends decided to create this GoFundMe to help support his transportation to and from chemo therapy. As well as to cover living and food expenses as this is a very stressful and difficult time financially and emotionally for both Jose and his partner.

In addition to these unfortunate events for 22 year old Jose Mendoza, just short of 2 years ago he lost his mom due to her loss in her battle with cancer. Navigating the next few chapters of his life will be devastating without his mom as she had always been his soul provider and care taker.
