Hello, my name is Lizbeth Morales, and I am raising funds to help my dad, Jose Loredo, during this incredibly difficult time.

On September 3rd, my dad went to the Mission ER after experiencing severe headaches, nausea, and visual hallucinations. A CT scan revealed a brain tumor, and he was immediately transferred to DHR for emergency brain surgery. On September 6th, doctors were able to successfully remove 98% of the tumor. Following surgery, he was transferred to Mission Hospital for rehabilitation.

On October 16th, we received devastating news when the pathology report confirmed a diagnosis of stage 4 glioblastoma. Seeking hope and clarity, my dad went to MD Anderson on October 22nd for a second opinion, where the cancer diagnosis was confirmed, and showed it grew 30%. After undergoing several tests, he began an aggressive course of chemotherapy and radiation on November 3rd in an effort to prevent the tumor from growing.

After completing six weeks of treatment, my dad is now scheduled for a second brain surgery on Friday, December 19th.

Since September 3rd, my dad has been unable to work. My mom has been by his side every step of the way and has also not been able to return to work. While my dad is currently receiving treatment as an outpatient, the medical expenses, travel costs, and daily living expenses have become overwhelming for our family.
