"Hello everyone,

I'm reaching out to share my brother Jose "Junior's" journey after a serious accident on August 17th, 2024. He suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI), broken shoulder, broken ribs, a broken clavicle, and facial fractures."

Before the accident, Junior was a vibrant and active person. He loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed cooking his famous tacos and working on his Impala 64 and his motorcycle Junior stayed busy. He was determined to get things done.

"Since the accident, Junior has undergone multiple surgeries, including a craniotomy and clavicle surgery. After weeks on a ventilator, he had a tracheotomy, which helped him start waking up and moving his extremities. His progress was a ray of hope for us."

"Junior was then transferred to a long-term acute care hospital in West Covina, where he made significant progress in physical and speech therapy. However, commuting from Bakersfield was tough. After being discharged to home health care, we faced challenges with getting approval for necessary supplies and therapies."

"Recently, Junior was readmitted to the hospital in Bakersfield, which set back his recovery. He now needs to regain his strength to walk and communicate again. Despite these setbacks, Junior continues to fight every day."
