Help Support Jose's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Shantel Syring. I’m reaching out to ask for your help with donations of any size. My fiancé, Jose Garcia, a devoted father of two young boys, was recently the victim of a brutal attack - an attempted murder that left him with multiple stab wounds. We’re in desperate need of your help to cover the overwhelming medical and household costs that are piling up as Jose starts his road to recovery and is unable to work until he is recovered enough. Any amount you can give would be helpful in giving us a bit more relief as we deal with this traumatic event.
On September 1, 2024, in the early morning hours, Jose returned to the Inn Like Flinns to retrieve an item he apparently left at the establishment. Upon arriving outside the establishment, Jose, his brother, and their friend were unexpectedly confronted by a group of men from earlier in the night who, without adequate provocation, began viciously stabbing and beating Jose, his brother, and their friend, nearly killing them.
Due to the attack, Jose suffered multiple deep lacerations to his abdomen, resulting in severe internal bleeding and damage to his organs. These injuries required 2 surgeries at the local hospital, followed by an emergency airlift via a helicopter to the twin cities for additional surgeries because of the extent of the damage to his organs that needed to be properly sealed and treated. We are uncertain about the amount of time that he will need for rehabilitation but we are hoping for a speedy recovery. The medical expenses are mounting rapidly, with bills from multiple surgeries, hospital stays, and ongoing treatments. On top of that, I’ve been unable to work as I attend to his needs during this time, and with Jose unable to work until his stab wounds heal, we’re losing a significant portion of our household income until he is ready and able to go back to work.
As many of you know, Jose’s always been the guy who’d drop everything to help a friend move or drop everything to help someone work on a home project on the weekend. His easy going nature and genuine care for others have made him a rock for so many in our community, whether at work or just around town. And your support will make a real difference in our lives. Every dollar you donate will go directly towards Jose's medical bills, his ongoing rehabilitation, and helping our family stay afloat during this difficult time. We're committed to using your generous contributions responsibly to help Jose recover and eventually return to work, so we can get back on our feet.
If you're comfortable donating through here otherwise I will be attaching my Venmom as well (@Shantel-Syring). Thank you all in advance.
