Support Jose Jorrin's Kidney Transplant Journey

Hello everyone, my name is Jose Jorrin. I am 61 years old, and I am currently in end-stage kidney failure. The only thing keeping me alive is my dialysis treatments.

I was diagnosed with kidney failure after I had a heart attack and triple bypass surgery in 2017. My diabetes and very high blood pressure, on top of everything else, destroyed my kidneys.

Because of these health issues and challenges, I'm on disability and a fixed income, so I live on a day-to-day basis.

Living with end-stage kidney failure has been very, very hard for me and my family, emotionally, physically, and financially. I go to dialysis three times a week for four hours each session, and I'm completely drained after.

My beautiful community has helped me find a kidney donor! I am getting a second chance at life... a chance to enjoy my family, a chance to pay it forward, a chance to live by the grace of God.

However, I am here humbly asking you for your help. I need to go meet with the transplant team before the surgery, and I don't have the funds for the transportation and lodging. After the surgery, I must stay close to the hospital for a month for appointments and any medical emergency that may arise. Please help me and my family through my journey. I want to get my kidney as soon as possible and don't want to delay the process because of finances. I'm scared. I'm scared to die before having the opportunity to get my kidney. That's why I'm asking you for your help. If you can help me with a donation for my travel and lodging during this difficult time, my family and I will be forever grateful. Life is such a beautiful gift, and I want to continue to live, help others, and do so many things I want to accomplish.
