Jose Canchola was a devoted family man and a loving father of six. As a family friend, I have witnessed firsthand how hard he worked to provide for his loved ones and how much he meant to everyone around him. Jose was always there for his family, putting their needs above his own and showing endless dedication and care.
Jose was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He always lit up the room during difficult moments, and you could always count on his sense of humor or for him to crack a joke. He was known for his famous carnitas and his love for spice—no pepper was ever hot enough. Jose made it a point to call his children early on their birthdays and always went out of his way to help others. He was never afraid to make sacrifices for anyone, believing that if you don’t take a risk, how will you ever know? Because of the risks and sacrifices he made, his children were able to have a better life. He took a risk with the surgery, and unfortunately, we sadly lost the best man alive. In life, you never know what’s next, but we should never be afraid to take the next step.
Recently, Jose faced a series of serious health challenges. He had underlying medical conditions that led to his hospitalization, and during his stay, he underwent multiple surgeries. Despite the best efforts of his medical team, each surgery took a toll on his body, and his condition continued to worsen. Eventually, most of his body began to shut down, and heartbreakingly, Jose passed away on February 6th at 3:35 am. His loss has left a deep void in the lives of his family and all who knew him.
We are raising funds to help cover the funeral costs for Jose. The Canchola family is humble, hardworking, and loving—they would never ask for this help on their own. Any support, no matter the amount, will help ease the financial burden and allow the family to focus on honoring Jose’s memory and putting their father to rest.
