Jose and Tania are starting their cancer journey. Jose became ill in late October 2025, and he was diagnosed with lung cancer the first week of November, with a tentative diagnosis of liver cancer and the possibility of the cancer being elsewhere.

Although Jose was close to retiring from his job, it is now uncertain how they will survive without income. What is certain is that there will be mounting medical bills along with the everyday bills now. Tania herself has medical issues that make it impossible for her to work. While Jose is in the hospital, Tania will need help with everyday household chores. She should not be alone as she has heart issues and mobility issues and is a fall risk.

As much as I would love to take off from work here in Texas to go help them in Nevada, I simply can't afford to lose my income also.
