I’m reaching out with a heavy heart for help during one of the most difficult times my friends have ever faced.

A close family friend of mine, Jose, was recently involved in a horrific hit-and-run accident. He was T-boned and his car rolled multiple times before he was ejected from the vehicle. He suffered internal bleeding and severe swelling in his left leg, requiring emergency surgery to save it. He is still in the hospital recovering, and the road ahead will be long and uncertain.

As a result, his partner has had to stop working to care for their children and manage everything on her own. He will be out of work for quite some time, and they are facing overwhelming financial stress — from rent to medical bills to the urgent need for a reliable vehicle so that she can return to work and support their family.

This has been an incredibly vulnerable time for them. With little ones to care for, no income, and no transportation, it’s hard not to feel completely alone. But they are holding on to hope — and praying that anyone who reads this might find it in their heart to help.

Con gran pesar, pido ayuda en uno de los momentos más difíciles que han vivido mis amigos.

Un amigo cercano de mi familia sufrió recientemente un terrible accidente de atropello y fuga. Recibió un impacto lateral y su coche dio varias vueltas de campana antes de salir despedido. Sufrió una hemorragia interna y una inflamación grave en la pierna izquierda, que requirió una cirugía de emergencia para salvarla. Sigue en el hospital recuperándose, y el camino por delante será largo e incierto.

Como resultado, su pareja ha tenido que dejar de trabajar para cuidar de sus hijos y ocuparse de todo ella sola.
