On 8/7, a sudden fire burned Jose and Dorothy Cruz’s home in. Thankfully, no one was home when the fire broke out—but the couple lost nearly everything they owned, along with their beloved pets: two cats and their sweet dog, Lilly.

A fast-moving fire tore through their home, leaving nothing salvageable. While Jose and Dorothy are safe, the heartbreak of losing their pets and the overwhelming reality of starting over has left them in urgent need of support.
