Dear Family, Friends, and Kind Strangers,

My name is Jori Fitzpatrick, and I am reaching out to you today with a difficult and urgent request. I am in a medical crisis and need surgery to save the tendons, bones and Joints in my right ankle/Foot. It's a long process and I will have to be at the Burn center for 2 to 3 weeks. Through Christmas and all.

I have recently spilled Hot Boiling Water on my Foot/Ankle while going to sink to drain water out of the noodles. My hand just let go of the pot and the water spilled on my foot. I ended up with 2nd and 3rd degree burns. With there being 3nd degree burn on my Ankle.

With the burn being on my ankle it makes it very severe and will potentially lead to significant damage to the skin, underlying tissues, joints and even the bones if not attended to RIGHT AWAY. The burn is causing me sever pain With the burn being on my ankle it makes it very severe and will potentially lead to significant damage to the skin, underlying tissues, joints and even the bones if not attended to RIGHT AWAY. The burn is causing me sever pain due to nerve damage. In order to prevent complications like infection, and permanent damage to my Ankle (that may affect the way I walk or even prevent me from using my right ankle to walk at all). The Doctors at the Burn Clinic in Salt Lake City have Scheduled me for surgery on Dec 18th 2025, at 8am. This was very short notice for me. Treatment involved is cutting and removing damaged tissues, putting donor skin on until my skin starts to grow back. Once my skin rejects the donor skin, they will replace it with some of my own skin. Surgery is necessary to try and save my foot from damaged tissues, Joints, and bones. and improve healing so I can maintain my Mobility in that foot and ankle.

It is incredible difficult for me to ask for financial assistance. The thought of not being to walk right or at all is terrifying to me. We raise our two granddaughters 5 and 7 years old and the thought of not being able to enjoy all the things we do now together as a family is very saddening, and they don't deserve to lose that.

Please consider donating to my GoFundMe to help me get to Salt Lake City (I will have to stay there for 2 to 3 weeks) and trip home. This includes renting a car to get there and back, motel for a few of the nights, gas, and meals to nerve damage.
