Update: Jorge’s Lymphoma Has Returned — Treatment Resumes

Dear friends and supporters,

We’re reaching out with an important update about Jorge (George) Quiroz. After bravely completing treatment last year, we were all hopeful he was in remission. For a while, Jorge was able to regain some sense of normalcy and pause the grueling cancer treatments.

However, in November, Jorge noticed a new lump forming on his chest, and after further evaluation, his doctors confirmed our fears: the lymphoma has returned.

Next week, Jorge will begin a new round of chemotherapy in Miami, which is expected to last about two months. This time, the plan is even more intensive: once he reaches remission again, he will begin stem cell treatment, a demanding and physically draining process that offers hope for long-term recovery.

This journey is far from easy. The treatments are brutal, and Jorge will need all the emotional, physical, and financial support we can give. He’s still unable to work and continues to face mounting daily living expenses, medical costs, and transportation fees for traveling between Fort Lauderdale and Miami for care.
