Hope International University SGA team would like to help Jorge Perez and his family with covering the cost of any medical bills, because during a time like this, finances should not feel like a burden.

Jorge is the SGA president and is facing his biggest battle. Jorge was diagnosed in May with Stage 4 Diffused Midline Glioma, in other words, Terminal Brain Cancer, and was given a year to live. He has gone through radiation and clinical trials in the hopes of a miracle. It's been 6 months since his diagnosis, and his cancer has progressed rapidly. He is now on hospice, with 24/7 care.

Jorge is well known around our campus as he was on the men's soccer team, a leader at his youth church group, starting his own clothing business, working at Disneyland, and is a part of the school's Christian club, The Well. Jorge has always been healthy and active, playing soccer since he was 4 years old. Jorge was getting ready to take on the role of being our SGA President when he went to the ER in March, and they found a tumor.

Jorge and his family are not giving up, and we are praying for a miracle!!!
