Hello my name is Rhonda Garcia the wife of Jorge Garcia, JR., we have been Blessed to share our lives together for the past 19 years and counting. We are making this post to share our Story as we are in need of help. Over the past 3 and 1/2 years my husband and I have experienced severe hardship due to medical expenses. He had back surgery in 2021 and has since not been able to return to the work force. Over the course of these past few years he has had additional medical procedures, 2 shoulder surgeries and hydro-dialation for the frozen shoulder he ended up with after the surgery. After numerous therapy sessions they decided he needed more medical treatments. We have applied for disability benefits and are at the mercy of their decision, which we have been informed can take an additional 6-12 more months. My husband struggles to do the simple things like sit, stand, squat, bend, reach for more than 10 minutes without feeling pain. He attempts to take a brief walk and after about 20 minutes he has to stop due to back and leg pain. He recently had injections and now continues to suffer with pain and his headaches are getting worse, the pain doesn’t seem to be going away either. In fact they did blood work on him and found that his Lyme disease is at an elevated and alarming level which is why he has so much pain in his body and joints. We have been Blessed by the Grace of God to be able to pay our bills in a timely fashion up until recently, thanks to our Family which has helped us pay some of our bills and expenses as they were able to. We are asking our community, neighbors, Family and friends to help us with getting our vehicle back from the Ford Dealership here In Clermont, Florida. With everything going on, yes our vehicle broke down requiring a very big repair in the middle of us needing to get him to his appointments and I needing to get to and from work every day. Thankfully my employer has allowed me use the work truck to get to and from. Super Grateful. The repairs total $8,117 and it’s obvious that with all the medical expenses, paying rent and our monthly bills, our savings has been depleted. We are trying our best to manage and keep it together through this all with only 1 income. We are trying to not only get help to pay for the repairs at the Ford Dealership, but to also come current with our monthly rent and bills. This is honestly very overwhelming for us to share. We are asking for those that can, to please help us reach our goals and keep us in your daily prayers that disability gets approved soon. We are trying to stay in our home and are praying not to become homeless due to the lack of funds to cover his medical expenses, medications and transportation. Every little bit helps us alleviate a ton of stress that we are currently dealing with together. We are looking to payoff the dealership for the repairs completed. We really need this help the dealer just advised us they will put a lien on our vehicle and will not release it to us without full payment. We have two weeks. Please everyone anything you can do to help us, we are truly grateful
