It is with a heavy heart that I reach out to all of you today. We lost a true hero, my FDNY EMT brother, Jorge Carbonell who dedicated his life to serving and protecting our community.

Jorge was not only an EMT but, he was a father, a friend and a mentor. He lived everyday with purpose, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a laugh. His spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

As we navigate this increadibly difficult time, his family needs our support to give him the farewell he deserves. We aim to honor his legacy with the memorial service that reflects he inspired in all of us. Unfortunately, the financial burden of such an event can be overwhelming and that's where we come in as a community .
