The Triple J Family

Here is a current update

Good morning Family, Friends near & far,

First and foremost all the glory to God for another day of life and thanking him that my husband Jorge Calzadillas is with us.

Update:
* 9/18 Jorge had skin graft surgeries on both his arms and legs. He was in the OR for almost 7 hours. Skin was taken from his abdominal area and his back. He has wound vacs on his back as well. Those bandages will be removed on 9/24 to see how they look
* On 9/17 PT had him sit in a special chair again for the 4th time now for 2 hours and they got him to stand up for a few seconds. Praise God. He stood up and took a step! Hallelujah!!! It is very, very painful and draining for him. He is so exhausted after therapy.
*On 9/14 he was given mechanical soft food, he loves it.
*On 9/15 for his birthday the feeding tube was removed. He was able to enjoy some birthday cake.
*There are still some obstacles we have to overcome but we both know all in God's time, he is pushing himself as much as he can. He wants to be home with me and our daughter. I will continue to be his advocate regardless of what is thrown his way and make sure he is taken care of how he should be in all aspects. Our main priority is his healing, recovery and peace of mind.
* For those asking in regards to how much longer he will be in hospital, we can't give you an answer other than what was said in the beginning. He will be here for 2-3 months depending on how he is recovering from surgeries, infections etc.
Once we are past the surgeries stage, then he can be moved to another floor, and from there rehabilitation center. This was per One of his doctors on his birthday. One day at a time.

*There are goals set in place for him to work on as we are trying to let him see our daughter face to face. This would be the best present for them both.

*Thank you to all who continue to reach out in regards to Jorge's progress, our daughter and our well being. It's been rough for all three of us. Our daughter wants daddy home and can't wait to see him in person. Facetime isn't the same but it's something. If I don't respond quickly via text, FB messenger, email, or phone call bare with me. Juggling work, our daughter, my husband and our financial responsibilities at home.
All of our love to those that have been stopping by house to provide meals for my mom, sister and daughter while I'm with my hubby. Our neighbors for extra security and cutting our lawn and watering it. My family/friends who have been there for our daughter.

*If you have any questions regarding Jorge reach out to me and I will clarify any information.

We love and appreciate you all. May God bless you and yours. Stay safe.

We will continue to praise your holy name in this storm. All things are possible thru Christ! He has not left us nor forsaken us.

Love,
The Triple J Family

P.S. Feel free to share

Update: 9/5
Update on Jorge:
1. Currently has infection on his lungs and arm that was reconstructed
2. Dr. Said infection is antibiotic resistant and that the antibiotics he is being given are pretty potent and last resort, he has other options however hospital doesn't carry that medication it would have to be ordered. Doc doesn't want to use that medication as it would kill his kidneys
3. His labs/blood tend to go up and down and he is receiving blood transfusions when he needs it.
4. He/we had a rough day yesterday...nurse left his Foley clamped for more than two hours. He was in a lot of pain. When I confronted nurse she said oh I forgot, so she caught these hands but verbally. Not only that she forgot to order his breakfast and lunch tray so again she was handled and I filed complaint. Not even an I'm sorry. So forgive me but FTP.
5. He is back on NG tube bc they ordered the wrong diet for today. He was given solids when he has been on liquid these last few days. He hasn't had a meal since August 18th. I'm not fn around have an appointment with attorney bc this is just ridiculous.
6. He is scheduled for surgery tomorrow, all teams are collaborating on if all doctors will operate on what needs to be done.
7. Skin grafts are holding off for now
8. He has a bed sore now on his back
9. PT/OT tried getting him up yesterday and was unsuccessful
10. He says for me to let him go. He has a bad feeling he doesn't think he gonna make it.

All in all I am here for my babe and hanging on to God's robe like no tomorrow. I miss him and I wish I could make this all go away. I know God is in control but I'd be lying to y'all if I said I was aight. I'm not and I feel defeated. But I rebuke those feelings bc I know the devil is trying to destroy my faith. I got this.
Please continue to pray for my babe.
He would love to see you all.

Update 8/29

Giving God all the glory and praise!

Update on my husband Jorge Calzadillas. He is still in ICU and will be for awhile. His breathing tube was removed yesterday and he is doing great. We just gotta work on his breathing and getting his lungs back to par. It was the most beautiful precious moment that was experience. His eyes were open, he was following commands and responsive. He said I love you, and asked for our daughter and his brothers. We were told that they don't want him to talk as they need for his throat to heal from the swelling since he was intubated for over 10 days. They advised that last night was going to be a tough night for him since the tube was removed, to not be surprised if we came back and saw him intubated again because of the pain. Praise God in all his glory and my babe did well. He was/is in pain and he was kept comfortable and breathing on his own. We will take every positive step, even if it's baby steps one minute, one second at a time.

Doctors advised that he has a long, long way to go. He will be in the ICU for awhile due to his traumatic injury and all the procedures/surgeries that he has had/have. He has more scheduled next week. They are doing an amazing job taking good care of him.

Everyone is more than welcome to come and see him, I know that would make him happy, and plus it promotes his healing and recovery.

Thank you to everyone who has been in touch with me and keeping us in your prayers. We are hanging in there. I am praying and keeping my faith and being strong in my powers like our daughter tells us.

Our daughter is anxiously awaiting to see her daddy. She misses him dearly as do I. This has been a very difficult time for us, but I continue to praise God during this time. He is my refuge.

My babe will be back and better than ever in Jesus name. I claim it and believe it.

Thank you for all your love and support!

I will do my best to respond to your calls, texts, emails.

Love The Triple J Family,
Julia, Jaciel, Jorge Calzadillas

God Bless you!

P.S. I know I've been asked if he can receive flowers or balloons for get well wishes. They are allowed however only artificial plants/flowers, and balloons not to big.

First and foremost I want to give thanks to the Lord above for another day of life, but most importantly that my husband Jorge Calzadillas is still with us.

A huge hug and all my love to each and everyone who has reached out and come by to see us. You have no idea what that means to me.

I wanted to update y'all...

Jorge is in ICU, no he is not in coma. He is heavily sedated for comfort, to keep his pain controlled and because he is undergoing a lot of surgeries to different parts of his body. He sustained serious injuries.

We are taking this one day at a time and are praying faithfully and believing in the power of prayers and God's powerful healing.

We have a long road ahead of us. As of right now we are looking at a 2-3 month stay at hospital not to include rehabilitation for therapy due to his surgeries.

Thank you to all who have been helping us in every way possible from coffee, to pan dulce food, hugs, calls, texts, emails, financial. It's appreciated more than you realize.

Please continue to keep him, myself our daughter and family in your prayers.

God bless you!

I Love you,
