Support Jordy's Fight Against Glioblastoma

Dear friends and family,

Jordy Glassner is facing a challenging time as her brain tumor has unfortunately returned. Glioblastoma is an evil terminal brain cancer. The median age of survival is 12-18 months post-diagnosis. But we believe a miracle is possible!

As of today, 06/12/24, she is preparing for a prescreening appointment in Philadelphia and Boston for a promising clinical trial. She is flying out on June 13th and will know by next week where she will be living for the next several months. If all goes as expected, Jordy will move to Boston (or Philadelphia) for 3 months and then return every other week for an additional 3 months for ongoing treatment.

During this difficult time, we are reaching out to our community to help support Jordy, her husband Hank, their son Brody, and their family. Jordy and Hank made the extremely difficult decision to leave Brody at home with loved ones in Los Angeles in order to keep him in his routine.

Brody will be staying in LA for the following reasons: Jordy is expected to be hospitalized at least two times and will be unable to pick up Brody for more than 6 weeks. It would be extremely difficult for Brody to see his mom sick and unable to hold him. Brody loves his daycare and has a routine. Hank will fly home throughout the 3 months as other family and friends visit Jordy. Hank and Jordy will then move back to LA and then fly to Boston every other week in order to keep Brody in LA.

How Your Contributions Will Help

Living Expenses in Boston: Covering the costs of housing, transportation, and daily necessities for Jordy and Hank while they are in Boston for treatment.

Family Visits & Travel: Helping immediate family members accompany Brody to visit Jordy in Boston, providing emotional support and care as she recovers. Helping Jordy and Hank fly to Boston/LA every other week for 4 months.

Flight cost estimate: estimated total 50 plane tickets in total (~500 each roundtrip)

Care for Brody: Supporting loved ones with funds to ensure Brody is well taken care of while Jordy and Hank are away.

Medical Expenses: Assisting with any additional medical costs not covered by insurance, ensuring Jordy has access to the best possible care.

As you all know, Jordy is a fighter, but she cannot do this alone. We all came together following her first surgery which was so extremely helpful. I know we can do it again. The financial burden of moving to another city for treatment and ensuring her family is taken care of is significant.
