Hi, my name is Jordyn and I am seeking help with legal fees for an ongoing court battle. I was in an abusive relationship for 6 years and had two children (2 and 5) during that time with my ex. However, since I am the non-biological parent, I essentially had no rights to them. I went weeks without seeing or talking to them, until finally going to court and fighting with everything I had, just to only be awarded 4 hours per week. 4 hours was better than nothing, so I took it and made the most of it, being grateful to still at least be in their lives. Now, nearly two months ago, I was hit with a false protection order based on a complete lie AND my ex-filing to terminate my 4 hours a week. I have tried my best to make this work along the way, but the toll this has taken especially financially after 2 years of fighting in court is immense. This truly is my last option to continue fighting for my kids legally. I have exhausted every other option to continue to make this work. Despite how hard asking for help can be, if it means getting me closer to seeing my babies again, it is what I must do. I truly cannot walk away until I know I have tried everything possible to get them back.
