Y'all know my niece Jordyn, her daughter Violet, and now expecting a baby boy due in the Fall

Jordyn is someone who is always there for others. As a devoted single mom to her daughter Violet — a beautiful little girl with unique autistic needs — she pours her heart into motherhood while also doing school full time and preparing to welcome a baby boy. No matter what life brings, her focus has always been her family and building a better future for them.

This season has come with some unexpected transitions. Due to ongoing safety and maintenance issues at her apartment, Jordyn and Violet had to move and are temporarily staying with family in Cohasset while she works her way through local housing waitlists. It’s not easy, but she continues to handle it with strength and grace.

On Friday, February 20th, Jordyn was on her way to the coast for a much-needed self-care solo weekend. While driving on Highway 20, the roads were clear, but she hit what we believe was black ice from the recent weather, causing her vehicle to roll not once but twice. By the grace of God and the protection of our family guardian angel Brookie, Jordyn and her unborn baby boy walked away safe, with only soreness and some bruising. We are also incredibly thankful that Violet was at my house for a sleepover and not in the car. It could have been a lot worse.

While we are beyond grateful for their safety, the accident did leave Jordyn without a vehicle. Because she carried liability coverage only, there will be no insurance payout to replace it. Living in Cohasset means public transportation isn’t an option, and reliable transportation is essential for Violet’s school and services, Jordyn’s schooling, medical appointments, and preparing for the baby’s arrival in the Fall.

This fundraiser is simply to help Jordyn secure a safe, dependable car so she can keep moving forward for her kids. We are also very open to any leads on an affordable, reliable vehicle — especially if someone is willing to sell one at a low cost or allow low payments. Possibly aiming for a reliable car spending only about $2000 to $4000 if we can raise the funds or by chance work out small payments.

Jordyn has always been one who shows up for her village. Now we have a chance to lift her up in return.

If you’re not in a position to give, sharing this page or keeping their family in your prayers means just as much.

Thank you for taking the time to read and share this. We all know in life and parenthood it takes a village.
