Love and Support for Jordan's Journey with Stella's Care

UPDATE: Stella has been diagnosed with lymphoma. Out of pocket costs have now reached $6,300+

My daughter Jordan was introduced to her furbaby, Stella, after she was rescued from being abandoned in a barn at only a week or two old. Bottle feeding and raising her from a little kitten to the sweet and feisty 3 year old she is now, Jordan was expecting to have many happy and healthy years with her. Stella is truly her furbaby -- she used to travel back and forth with her when she was going between NY and MA, until she permanently moved to MA bringing her faithful companion with her. Now, not only is she Jordan's companion, but an important part of Jordan's new family and brings heaps of love to both her sisters and dad.

Recently, Stella wasn't acting like herself. As her symptoms progressed, it quickly became apparent that she was very ill, hadn't been eating, and was possibly dehydrated. While an appointment to her regular vet had already been scheduled, Stella's worsening condition required a trip to the emergency vet as it was on a weekend, and Jordan felt she had already waited long enough. Vet bills just to have her monitored for the weekend, tested, diagnosed and treated have already reached over $4,700. They believe Stella has lymphoma which would require thousands more for chemotherapy and is also uncommon for a cat of her age. We are hoping for the best, but already Jordan has found herself buried under vet bills she never expected to be facing. Even after looking into pet insurance, there is nothing that can be covered now or for any of Stella's treatments in the future related to this condition....
