Support Jordan's Journey to Study Spanish Abroad

Hi, my name is Jordan, and earlier this year I heard about a program called CIEE. It’s a study abroad program that offers students the opportunity to receive an education around the globe. It sounded cool to me at the time, but also extremely out of reach. That’s when I was told they offered scholarships. Though I still felt that study abroad was more of a pipe dream than a reality, the idea that I could receive enough money to achieve my goal of studying Spanish while also being in a foreign country was thrilling. I ultimately decided to apply.

The excitement that I felt waiting for a response was unreal. After months of anticipation, I received a letter last night from CIEE, and within it was the fate of this fantasy that had been bubbling up inside me. I was ecstatic to find out I had received a scholarship of $3,700 from them, but I was slightly shocked to find out I still owed $3,700. Halfway. I was halfway there, but I knew my family and I could not cover the other half alone. That’s why I decided to start a GoFundMe with the hopes of raising enough money to cover that half and study abroad.
